How to convert bank statements to Excel

First check whether your bank offers a CSV or Excel transaction download for the period you need. That avoids PDF extraction. If only a PDF is available, upload it here, inspect every extracted row, compare the balance check with the statement, and export your reviewed workbook.

5 trial pages; $9 for 50 pages or $19/month for 200 pages. Tax may apply.

Balanced means arithmetic agreement, not guaranteed accuracy. Review source rows before using an export.

Quality method, 29 September 2026: we compared every expected row, date and amount in synthetic digital and scanned statements, including reversed order, missing balances, duplicates and incorrect totals. A 20-page, 20 MB example with 800 transactions also matched. These examples do not establish accuracy for every bank layout; always review your own statement. No accuracy percentage is claimed.

How it works

  1. Look for your bank's native transaction export before using PDF conversion.
  2. If necessary, download the complete PDF with all statement pages.
  3. Convert and review dates, debits, credits and opening and closing balances.
  4. Download Excel and preserve the original statement for your records.

Questions

Should I use my bank's CSV download instead?
Usually, when it contains the period and fields you need. A native export avoids OCR and extraction errors. PDF conversion is useful for historical PDFs or statements supplied by clients.
What can I upload?
English digital or scanned PDF checking/current and savings statements, one account and currency per file. Each PDF can contain up to 20 pages and be up to 20 MB. Credit-card statements and encrypted PDFs are not supported.
What does a page cost?
Every submitted PDF page counts, including covers. Try 5 pages once per verified account. Buy 50 pages for $9 or subscribe for 200 pages per month at $19. Taxes may apply. Monthly pages expire at the end of their billing period; purchased pages do not expire.
Are my documents saved?
We delete the private source upload before sending its in-memory contents to Anthropic for extraction. Reviewed rows stay in your open browser only. Download before leaving. Abandoned uploads are removed by daily cleanup, normally within 48 hours. Anthropic has its own retention policy.
Does balanced mean the extraction is perfect?
No. Balanced means the available amounts reconcile arithmetically. Missing balances, uncertain values and possible duplicate rows are flagged. Always compare the extracted rows against your original statement before using them.
